Oak & Eden Old Fashioned Recipe

An inspired twist on a classic old fashioned

Quite Fashionable

2 oz Oak & Eden Bourbon
1 oz simple syrup
2 dashes aromatic bitters
1 cocktail cherry
1/2 tsp cherry juice
Orange rind for garnish

Muddle the bitters, simple syrup, orange rind, cherry and cherry juice. Remove the orange rind, add the bourbon and fill with ice. Garnish with a fresh orange wheel and cherry.

Ryes & Grind

1 oz Oak & Eden Rye Whiskey
1 double shot espresso (about 2 oz)
¼ oz simple syrup
1 dash of Angostura bitters
1 lemon peel

Combine espresso, Rye, simple syrup, and bitters in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Stir until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds; strain into a lowball glass filled with ice. Twist lemon peel over cocktail to release oils, then rub over the rim of glass; discard peel.

Oak & Eden Garden of Eden Recipe

Like a walk in the cool of the garden

Garden of Eden

2 oz Oak & Eden Rye Whiskey
½ oz orange bitters
½ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz ginger simple syrup
1 lemon twist for garnish

Combine rye, bitters, lemon juice, and ginger simple syrup in a cocktail shaker; fill shaker with ice. Shake until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass or a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with Lemon twist.

Mint Julep

2.5 oz Oak & Eden Bourbon
10 mint leaves
1.5 tsp superfine sugar
Splash of seltzer water
Crushed ice

Place the mint leaves in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass and top with the sugar. Muddle these together until the leaves begin to break down. Add a splash of seltzer water, fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice, and add the bourbon. Top with another splash of seltzer, stir, and garnish with a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

Campfire Sling

2 oz Oak & Eden Rye
.25 oz pure maple syrup
3 dashes chocolate bitters
Orange twist with scorched orange oil

Add all ingredients to an old fashioned glass with a large piece of ice. Stir thoroughly. Release the oils from the orange zest through a flaming wood pick over the surface of the drink and serve.
